Phonology
Phonology is the study of the sound system of a language and how those sounds are used to convey meaning. In English Language Teaching (ELT), phonology is a critical aspect of language learning as it helps learners to understand and produce the sounds of the English language accurately. Phonology involves the study of different aspects of speech sounds, including pronunciation, stress, intonation, and rhythm. By understanding these aspects, learners can improve their ability to communicate effectively in English.
